Helen of Troy: “I love you.”
Paris: “I love you too.”
(Guest star): “I love you.”
Paris: “I’m gay.”
Classic shitpost logic. Man loves woman, man rejects different woman by coming out as gay. Can’t argue with that.
Gorgocutie’s Verdict:
The 2004 film Troy gave us Orlando Bloom’s Paris as a romantic pretty-boy prince who started the Trojan War over Helen. The bottom left features Lupita Nyong’o — and the meme asks: what if the guy who started a 10-year war over a woman wasn’t actually into women at all? It’s the kind of logic-defying comedy that only meme culture can produce. Historically, Paris was the son of Priam and chose Aphrodite’s gift (the most beautiful woman) in the Judgement of Paris, leading to the whole Trojan mess. The movie version made him a lover, not a fighter — and the internet ran with it.
