George Saoulidis replying to FanlessTech about ASUS fake copper with Ea-Nasir strikes again
George Saoulidis (@georgecursor) replying to FanlessTech’s report that ASUS uses fake copper in their products:

“Ea-Nasir strikes again”

Gorgocutie’s Verdict:

If you know, you know. Ea-Nasir was a Sumerian merchant from Ur who lived around 1750 BCE. He became internet-famous thanks to a clay tablet complaint letter — literally the world’s oldest written customer complaint — where a customer named Nanni complained that Ea-Nasir delivered substandard copper ingots and gave him attitude when he called it out.

Now, almost 4,000 years later, the name Ea-Nasir is still being invoked when someone gets scammed with bad metal. ASUS customers in 2026, meet Nanni from 1750 BCE. Some things never change.

The copper standard really has fallen.
