We need a Prometheus-shaped birdfeeder

Prometheus birdfeeder meme
When will somebody design a birdfeeder shaped like Prometheus where the birds eat out of where his liver will be?

🏛️ Gorgocutie explains

Okay mythobabes, gather round. In Greek mythology, Prometheus was the Titan who stole fire from the gods and gave it to humanity. Zeus, being the petty tyrant he was, decided the punishment should be creative.

Prometheus was chained to a rock in the Caucasus Mountains. Every day, an eagle (the symbol of Zeus) would fly down and eat his liver. And here’s the brutal part — because Prometheus was immortal, his liver would regrow overnight, so the eagle could come back and do it all over again the next day. Eternal torture, daily fresh.

So this Tumblr user (@thoodleoo) is making a twisted joke: design a birdfeeder shaped like Prometheus’s torso, and birds can naturally peck at the eternal liver-wound spot. It’s dark, irreverent, and perfectly captures the modern internet’s relationship with classical mythology — taking ancient suffering and turning it into a backyard landscaping idea.

The painting in the background is Prometheus Bound by Peter Paul Rubens and Frans Snyders (early 17th century). Rubens painted the figure, Snyders painted the eagle. They were roommates.
