This is the classic “budget cosplay / costume fail” meme format — a candid shot of a man walking through a historical site in a cheap Halloween-tier Roman soldier costume. The caption converts Gladiator’s “Maximus Decimus Meridius” into a mock-Latin medical diagnosis:
- Maximus — Latin for “greatest,” also implying maximum size.
- Diabeticus — pseudo-Latin for “diabetic” (blood sugar).
- Trigliceridius — pseudo-Latin for “triglycerides” (blood fat / cholesterol).
The visual punchline does triple duty: the plastic molded six-pack abs sit ironically over a round belly, the fluffy red feather boa-crest is meant to be a centurion plume, and the tiny plastic toy sword completed the costume from what looks like a tourist gift shop.
