Klara @klara_sjo drops the line of the year: “I was reading about the myth of Prometheus today when the phrase ‘new liver, same eagles’ popped into my mind, so I’m keeping that in mind for the next time someone asks me how it’s going.”
The illustration underneath — a classic B&W engraving of Prometheus chained to his rock, eagle pecking away — is captioned “Every day is a Fresh Start.” The contrast between the inspirational poster text and the literal eternal torture is chef’s kiss.
Gorgocutie’s Take
This is the most Greek thing I’ve seen all week. The guy gets his organs pecked out daily for eternity and some influencer slapped “every day is a fresh start” on an illustration of him. That’s not a fresh start, that’s a Monday with extra steps. Zeus really said “hang in there… forever.” New liver, same eagles — new month, same soul-crushing existential dread. Relatable.
