In one version of myth, Pegasos sprang forth when #Perseus beheaded Medusa, and were born of the #Earth, and fed by the #Gorgon’s blood.
Its cherished symbolism can be seen around the world, such as within the emblem of the World War II #British Airborne Forces (below), which depicts #Bellerophon riding Pegasus.
