The heqa scepter. Represent the royal insignia of the pharaoh. Two pairs of scepters and flails were discovered in King Tutankhamun’s cartouche-shaped box, are constructed of alternating cylindrical segments of blue glass, obsidian, and gold, over a copper or wood core. The beads of the flail are made of gilded wood. On statues and representations of the Pharaoh, he holds the scepter and flail crossed over his chest. Similar pairs of scepters and flails are shown on all three coffins and on the four canopic coffins of Tutankhamun, and another pair was found on his mummy. Now in the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza.
