"Like the United States today, the Parthenon Marbles would also like to celebrate their independence from England."
July 4th tweet from excusemeareyougreek. America celebrates independence from England. The Parthenon Marbles — taken from Greece by Lord Elgin in 1801 and held in the British Museum ever since — would like the same.
